Day 14

4 Best Gifts You’ve Ever Received

  1. My laptop
  2. Cruise
  3. Concerts
  4. Engagement ring

This was a hard list to create because I’ve been so blessed to receive gifts from others. I find sentimental value in everything that is given to me – even the simplest of gifts.

Thank you to anyone who has ever given me something!

Hope Unfolding: Grace-Filled Truth for the Momma’s Heart

I was first introduced to Becky Thompson on Facebook through her page “Scissortail Silk” (and I just recently found out what that means). Becky also has a page called “Midnight Mom Devotional.” After reading her encouraging posts, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on her book! We went through this book in our Sunday night women’s small group.

Hope is forever unfolding and never stops short of being all that we need.

-Becky Thompson, Hope Unfolding

In this book, Becky touches on everything from feeling overwhelmed to keeping up with other Moms. I enjoy at the end of each chapter, she includes a space to journal, a prayer and an affirmation. This book is good to read for every mom (or mom-to-be) no matter what stage of motherhood you are in. My small group has women of different ages and our children are also different ages, yet this book hit home for all of us. Becky’s stories are so real that I’m sure most of us have similar (if not the same) experiences. She writes about feeling like there is no support system, having dreams and being you own kind of “normal.”

So Momma’s, grab a friend, grab a copy of this book and read! You won’t regret it.
